My Latest Obsession

I was searching around Youtube and I found this cute electro-pop Japanese girl group called Perfume, Their music just makes me feel so happy and upbeat! This song of theirs is called "One Room Disco".

Cleaning

Why is it that parents have to be so paranoid about cleaning? I mean, usually I clean my room eventually and the messiness of it is not as bad as they say. There is just so much nagging all the time and it drives me crazy! And don't they relize that one persons trash is another persons treasure and it's hard for some people in keep things in order than other? I'm sorry for ranting but I just feel very bothered right now. And I don't even have time to write what I want to say in full beacuse my mom wants me to turn off my computer.

Till we meet again!

Cheap Person

I'm not sure about you guys, but I am a person who is very cautious about what I spend with money. I seems that every time I receive money I try to hold on to as long as I possibly can until it is absolutely necessary to spend it. For example, I'll hold on to my birthday money until almost a year later. It's almost like I'm scared to get rid of money. I think if I had a steady job and received
money more often I wouldn't be so afraid to spend it because I knew I could always get more. Or maybe I really am just a cheap person? I hope I can break this fear of spending money soon because then I will have a lot of problems when I become an adult. Do any of you have this problem

Monday, July 27, 2009

Today was the day of my big interview at Starbucks!Since I yet again went to bed late, I was really tired in the morning, but I was fine by the time we had to leave ( Around 9:45 AM). I really made sure i was presentable so my potential boss could see that I was manageable and hard working, so I even took a long shower and moisturized my hair. At first mom wanted me to drive with her earlier around eight after she dropped off my sister for camp, but I was far too tired to move . At Starbucks I noticed something that I had never seen before, I never relized they had coupons for free songs on itunes (This makes me want to come back every week).

I felt really nervous as my mother left me with my Caramel frappachino on a small table while I read the New York times. It didn't help that I could hear and interview already going on right next to me! I though I had filled in the application correctly, but stupid me! I was suppose to do it in pen! After I finished a brand new application for a moment I thought the manager had forgotten about me, but about 30 minutes later I ended up asking at the front counter. Throughout the whole interview I felt so sweaty and nervous, but I don't think I paused as much and said as many "ums" as I did when I had a lifeguard interview. I felt a little self conscious after hear the last girls interview and how much experience she had. But I will just pray untill Wensday beacuse that's when the manager will call me to tell me if I got the job or not.

Afterwards I felt a since of relief since all I have to do now is wait for that phone call. For about two hours later I had to wait for my mom to come back and pick me up after getting my little sister from camp. Luckily I passed the time by I'Ming on my phone and reading the newspaper. I was so happy when mom finally pull in from the road. I spent the rest of my time out at Barnes & Noble eat a sandwich, reading and drinking coffee. As you can see in the picture I also got quite a few book that I plan to read (I even saw the pride and prejudice zombies book but didn't get it). So i'm going toend this post so I can take a get.

Untill We meet again,
Lindsay

Woah!

I don't usally watch reality TV that much because it seems so trashy, but I was surfing through the tv channels and saw this last part on a show called "Hells Kitchen".I really think this one contestant named Joseph has a huge anger problem. Now I can't wait for the next episode and hopes he doesn't beat anyone up. All he had to do was answer a simple question, and he couldn't even do that. I can tell this season is going to be full of drama!

Camera issue..

I love this camera a lot, and I've carried it with me everywhere since around December. But one this annoys me and I keep trying to figure out what the problem is. After I take a bunch of pictures some turn corrupted and end up with a "file error" message so I have to delete certain photos. Know I don't know why it does this, and it just bugs me so much. I hope I didn't do anything to it by accident.

Let's Get Physical

Good Morning!

I have out of shape for a while and today I decided to finally get back on an exercise regime. The program that I picked is call "couch to 5k" and it's suppose to get you from running small distances to running 5K's in nine weeks. The program is nice because it starts off small and then eventually add more work so it build off of your strength. So anyway I just finished the first work out and I can already tell that I have a long way before I start running 5K's at all. I still even have sweat running from my face, so I had to turn on a fan. I can still feel my heart beat fast. But I was prepared because I eat fruit loops and an orange for breakfast and had a nice shower beforehand. Speaking of showers, my mom is telling me that I should take another one.

Adieu!

So yesterday I got two job applications to apply for my very first job. One was from Wendy's, and the other was from Barnes and Noble. On monday I plan to drop them off at their respected stores and wait for one or two weeks. This makes me so nervous beacuse as I said before i've never had a job before and I don't know what to epect at all. But I hope that one of them accepts me beaucse I think it would be a great opertunity for me to grow and learn. So, wish me luck!

Home, Sweet, Home?

I was lurking around the internet and I found some pictures of very strange houses. Would any of you want to live in these homes?

Edit: I found out that picture #4 was a hoax using Photoshop

Wordle

I found this tutorial on a website and thought it sounded really cool:

From UKMix, Bhaggers:

Here's this really cool thing you can do to see which words feature the most in your music collection (larger size means more times present):

INSTRUCTIONS:
01 - In your iTunes/iPod library, make sure you only have the TITLE, ARTIST & ALBUM columns up, and then press CTRL + A, then CTRL+C to copy all the words. After you have done that, unhighlight everything.

02 - Go to http://www.wordle.net and click on 'Create'. Press CTRL + V in the box and press go.

03 - Change the preferences to your Wordle using the toolbar

04 - Press PRINT SCREEN on yuor keyboard and paste the picture into Photoshop/Photo Editing Software/ even Microsoft PowerPoint!!!

05 - Crop the photo so only the wordle remains, and then save the picture :
(Photoshop/Photo Editing Software - click on "Save for Web & Devices"; make sure you're saving it as .jpeg/.gif/.png.
PowerPoint - right click on photo and click on "Save Picture", and make sure its being saved as .jpeg/.gif/.png.)

06 - Upload photo to internet using Photobucket / Tinypic.com / ImageShack etc etc. & post link/photo here

Now you try it!

Historical Tweets

Has anybody heard of this site? It basically combines Twitter and historical events to show what various figures in history would have written if they had Twitter many years ago. It's really funny for people who really are history buffs and/or just need a good chuckle.

Don't Call 911!

Okay ,so far today my mother took me to panera bread this morning as a treat for cleaning my room, I ordered a breakfast sandwhich and a mango smoothie (Their regular sandwhichs are better). After that we went to Old Navy to get some clothes for me. Mom completly left me on my own, and it was a little hard since I don't have a great since of style. When we got to the regeister some of the clothes I thought were skirts were actually tube tops! I felt so embaressed. At home my sister was getting sick and tired of our little cousin Jax, so she came in my room with me, but Jax came in and stared
cursing at her and hitting her as well. Then I decided to clean the dises so I could get away from both of them. A few minutes later though when my mom came back from dropping my brother off to a class, Jiniah (Our other cousin) told her that Jax had just called 911! My mother was really upset to hear about it, and we didn't even no he knew that number! A few minutes later a police officer came to our house and gave Jax as lecture about 911. This really takes me back to when my youngest brother called the number years ago. Mom had to take a rest after htat and was really angry so she called Jax's mom (our cousin). Now she just took Jax and the Grocery store to get ingredients to majke pitzels.

Up!

Posted by Picasa

I just got back from the movie theaters, and as you can tell from the title I just finished watching Up by Disney! At first I though everyone was going to that it with me, but since my cousins were visiting and wanted to see Ice Age 3, they saw that with my siblings instead. So I had to watch this movie all by myself with soda and popcorn in 3-D.There were almost no people inside. It was a very nice movie and even had a few funny parts as well. I highly recommend that you see it. The theme of the whole story was just lovely. At the end there was a bin to recycle 3-D glasses, but because I'm a rebel I took them home! ;-)

P.S. I saw a poster for a live version of Alice in wonderland and I'm intrigued.

Very Creative

I found this video on youtube. It's from a Japanese band named Sour and everyone in the video consist of the band's fanbase from all over the world on webcames. I found it really intresting and creative from a video these days.

Rabbit Tragety

This morning I woke up to a sad story. My brother David said that he found a rabbit sitting near the shade of a tree around our neighbors house. But as my brother got closer he noticed that this rabbit was very different from a normal one. It's neck was very broken and it was barely moving. At first we thought it was dead, but I think that it was just dying. It is just so sad that this animal is suffering and I wish that it could just be put out of its misery. I just hate to see animals in so much pain, and I don't know what to do.

Figured it out

Yes! Now I know exactly what I need to prevent my computer from crashing and losing all its memory, a portable external hard drive. These are about the size of your hand and are as easy to plug in as an ipod. So instead of eating up all the space on the laptop, I can save all my pictures and information to this. It's is a lifesaver, Thank you dad for telling me about it! And it only cost about one hundred dollars. This means you will begin to see more pictures on this blog beacuse I now won't be afraid to eat up all the space.

Clothing and Short People

I'm a girl, and most girls especially teenage girls like to look nice in good looking clothes right? Well its very hard to find the trendiest best fitting clothes if your 5 foot tall and even worse when your a little bit overweight.

Every time my mom takes me shopping it's a huge pain. Most of the clothing stores that I think have nice clothes (H&M, Charlotte Russe) don't really fit me well. Since I gain weight in certain places and not all over a lot of the clothes fit me in some places on my body and sticks out or squeezes in others. And when I go up a size that's the worse because then the clothes make me even look even shorter than I am and often are too long and look baggy. And when my mother actually finds clothes that fit me, I end up thinking they look ugly and are something that only she would wear out. These clothes are ususally from stores like lane Bryant, outlet stores, Chico's, and places that only people in their 40s and up would shop at.

I guess this is a sign that I need to become healthier since I always feel so lazy and week. It seems the only way I would fit into these nice clothes would be to stay constantly slim, or I could dream to grow about four inches. I just wish that I could find some stores that fit small women perfectly and look good as well.

They're Here

Today we picked up our cousins Jax and Jiniah from the rest stop (their Grandma and Mom were with them), and I am preparing for a week of headaches since with them Shannon is so hyper and loud. Also I have to type quick beacuse we are going to the carnival in a few minutes to watch fire works, its going to be so Much fun. Aaron also made baked Dounuts that didn't taste like Doughnuts, but they were okay.

New Charger

Yesterday I got my new charger to replace my old one which broke, on the other note my computer only has 8 GB left and I don't know what to do. In other news its summertime and I'm completely bored. But I won't be for long since some of my longer cousins are coming to visit in a few hours (and they are small children).I don't know why my mom invited them though since she already is stressed and they will make her even more stressed, but oh well.

Last Day

Finally today is the last day of my biology class.
I'm so happy for it to be over. Four hours straight in a classroom is far too much for me. And i'm glad that I will be able to audit it beacuse there was no way I would have passed it. It really dranined all my energy and now I will have time to full enjoy the summer. And as a learning experiance I will never take another sumemer class again. But if it wasn't for this class I would have never used septa all by myself so I have to thank it in that area. Oh, I have to go !

Yay!

Update

So its been a about a week since I last updated my blog and I wanted to share with all of you what I have been up to lately:

All of last week I was a camp counselor at the Church of the Open Door bible. I worked in the arts and craft department like I did last year, but I'm thinking next year that I might want to work in 1st grade or Kindergarten. was a little bit more tired than last year because I had to leave early for that four hour biology summer class (never taking a summer class again). It was exciting to see all the children so happy and excited (one kindergartner kept hugging me and jumping on me). Shannon (My little sister) was so adorable during the evening program on Friday because she was so into the songs.

Today I went to my homeschooling evaluation and Mrs. Naomi said that I would be able to pass to the next grade (11th) . I just need to work harder this up coming school year so my mom will have less stress and headaches at the last minute. I also missed biology class today but I emailed my teacher afterwards so I hope he understands.

My charger won't charge my laptop so I called customer service and they're sending a replacement that should be here tomorrow (second attempt). After that I will be blogging more and will upload more pictures.

A few days ago me and my sibilings went to the Clift's house for Laurie's graduation party, and I watched Phantom of the Opera with Jenny and Tori.

I also have recently discovered the joy of facebook and found alot of old friends through it.

Much Love!

4. Keep up w/ Biology Work

5. Finnish Amy Website

Dinner

I'm sorry that I couldn't take a picture, its because my computer memory is almost full. But today was nice and while I was still tired (I stayed up too late), mom made us go to Church since that is a good way to stay sane. The sermon was okay, I think I would liked it better If I wasn't tired. And the minister was very passionate about the lord and yelled a lot (This was a Baptist Church). After the Church we went home and I just crashed on the bed and talked to mom for a while. I have so much to do now until the end of the week that its not even funny. We also gave dad his father's day's gifts (Sorry dad, we'll treat you better on your birthday) .And on the Wii fit it said that I now weigh 113 pounds (right...) So tonight I will make sure that I'm in bed early so enough energy comes to me in the morning.

Today's Dinner:

Seasoned Lamb Chops
Salted Pasta
Seasoned Kelp and etc..
Asparagus
water
Dessert: 7- Up Pound Cake

Hilay And Jackie

A few days ago I saw this wonderful movie on indieplex called "Hilary and Jackie. I thought the whole movie was so beautiful, it was about two sisters, named Hilary and Jackie who were both musicians (Hilary played the flute and Jackie played the cello). Jackie was the more loved sister and became more famous than her sister but eventually became deadly ill and slowly wasted away. The movie showed each sisters perspective in the time frame and made me cry a lot in some moments, I think everyone should see because its based on a true story of Hilary and Jacqueline du pre and so touching.

Bus Adventure

So this is what happened one day when was planning to take the bus: It was around 4:17 and after my biology class. Mom was sick and I had some extra money so she suggested that I go to the mall and she or dad would pick me up later in the day. I agreed but I wondered if the bus would take me close to home since I had seen buses pick up people close to my house before.

So I searched on SEPTA.com and found a plan your own trip schedule which I made a plan of which bus to go. When to time came to get on I payed my fare and sat down close to the bus driver in excitement. But when we were my stop I got nervous. "It's just a side walk near the road" (Referring to the bus stop) I said to myself. The bus driver saw I looked nervous and asked me if I was new to riding the bus (I said yes). Then he looked at the schedule and said it was wrong. He told me that I should wait until the end of the line in Chestnut Hill! That was so far from home, I just couldn't call mom, she'd worry too much. After a longer drive we arrived at my next stop. I cringed when I sat down next to a man smoking next to me. "I shouldn't be here, this is practically the city!" Everything there was so cold, old and damp, and it was raining a bit too. Then I signed with relief when my bus showed up just like that bus driver had said. The bus didn't exactly stop at my house, but close to it, and I had to walk on grass close to the road to get home, but it was okay. When I got closer I called my mom to let her know that I was okay and opened the door, everyone wad shocked, and even more when I told them how I got home

What a week!

Ever since Monday, a lot has happened to me.In biology class we had a few quizzes which I only got half of the questions on.

Later I went to a tutor and she told me that I bit off way more than I can chew, and that maybe I should consider a, auditing the class (taking it without credit). When I told mom, she said I just need to work smarter and stay on task. It's just really difficult because I didn't know that I was going to be taking one of the hardest classes in the whole college.

Also, we had a few labs this week (One microscope, one enzyme, and another one I forget). I lost the e-mail of the person I was working with, so I didn't know what part of questions to work on and I emailed her the questions far too late, and I feel awful, so I have to remember to apologize to them on Monday (I'm not a hands on person). And I also had an interesting bus adventure which I'll tell you about more in detail in another post.

So this weekend I just have to spend most of the time studying so I can pass this next test. I would upload some pictures, but my camera's batteries are dead so I will wait later.

Much Love,
Lindsay

Movie Time

Now i'm back from class and ready to kick back and relax, at least for a little while. I feel so exhausted and worn out from biology. Mom sugessted that I watch "the curious case of Benjamin Button". So I'm going to take some snacks and go watch the movie in the home theater.

Here we go!

Hello everybody,

Right now I'm about to go to class and take my test, so wish me luck!
I'm not sure if I got the right amount of sleep last night, but I think that I studied hard enough to do well. Last week I got an F on my first test, but the lowest test score gets erased so I still have a chance to do well. For breakfast I ate cereal and chamomile tea, and we also went to wawa for snacks.

Gone Fishing...

While I was laying in bed my sister Shannon kept begging me to take her to one of her friends house (an Indian family). I kept refusing untill my mother practically made me go outside beacuse of fresh air. When we got to their house , their grandfather Abraham said that they went for a walk near where the pound was, so thats where we headed toward. To my suprise, the whole family was carefull observing my two brothers search for fish in the water. David said he needed a bigger net, and I wanted to get my camera and some water, so I left my sister with Aaron and took David's bike and rode home. Once I got home I relized that I was out of shape.Once I got my things the other family had left,so the rest of us spent the rest of the time looking for creatures.
